VetMed Consultants incorporates powerful diagnostic tools and advanced technologies as an extension to the excellent care already provided by your primary veterinarian.

We provide procedures that are not routinely performed in many general practices including advanced abdominal ultrasound, echocardiography, cardiology review, ambulatory ECG monitoring, and selective evaluations.

Our commitment is to partner with veterinarians in our community to provide high quality care and minimally invasive diagnostics and treatments.

About Us

Dr. Archibald is a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners and is a specialist in Canine and Feline Practice. She discovered her passion for veterinary medicine at a young age and has worked in a veterinary hospital setting since she was twelve years old (as she is the daughter of a veterinarian). She is committed to veterinary diagnostic ultrasound including abdominal, cardiothoracic, and tendon imaging in her canine and feline patients. She joined Dr. Watkins in 2004 and continues to enjoy bringing advanced imaging techniques into the small animal practices throughout the greater Salt Lake area.

Val earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Kansas State University in 1989, followed by her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1993. Prior to joining VetMed Consultants, she worked for eleven years in busy, well-regarded private practices in both Las Vegas and here in Salt Lake City. She obtained board certification in 2000.

Val spends most of her personal time with her husband, two daughters, and their boxer. She enjoys her friends and family as well as snowboarding, mountain biking, reading, movies, and cooking.

Doctor George is originally from Naples, FL, but her love of the west with its mountains and snow led her to Colorado. She graduated from Colorado State University, with both a B.S. in Animal/Biomedical Sciences --and went on to complete her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine.  While in Colorado, she was active on the board of a nonprofit rescue and rehabilitation organization.  Prior to joining VetMed Consultants Mobile Services, Jillian practiced in a busy small animal hospital in the Salt Lake Valley.  She has a special interest in both internal medicine and critical care.

Jillian lives in Sandy with her husband and two young children.  She and her husband are also the caregivers of their loving, senior citizen Pit Bull named Ty and a talkative African Grey named Kona.

She loves all things outdoors, especially skiing, snowboarding, hiking, and rock climbing with her family.

Doctor George is excited to be a part of VetMed Consultants and enjoys working with fellow veterinarians and clients in the valley.

Doctor Bogardus is s native Utahan and grew up in Brigham City and Ogden areas. She graduated from Weber State University with a B.S. in Zoology, and received her DVM from Washington State University in 2003. Prior to joining VetMed Consultants in 2013, Keri practiced in a busy, respected small animal hospital in the Salt Lake area.

She has special interest in internal medicine and cardiology, and is currently working toward board certification by the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners.

Keri lives in the Salt Lake area, surrounded  by her furry friends. She is particularly partial to her dog, Stanley Danger...(but don't tell the others). She enjoys gardening, hiking with her dogs, traveling, exploring Utah's national parks, part-time fitness instruction, and has recently taken up rock climbing.

Teale Orme DVM_edited_edited.jpg

Dr. Teale Orme, from Park City, Utah, is the newest member of the VetMed Consultants Mobile Services team. In 2010 she completed her undergraduate education at Dartmouth College, where she majored in Native American studies and minored in Women's and Gender Studies. After completing a pre-veterinary post-baccalaureate program at the University of Vermont in 2011, she relocated to the University of California, Davis where she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2016.

After completing her coast-to-coast education, Dr. Orme was ready to return to her home state. She has honed her general practitioner skills in practices located in Park City and Cottonwood Heights. Dr. Orme joined the VetMed team in the Spring of 2022, where she has been building relationships with our local veterinary community and partnering with our clients to help provide diagnostic imaging for their patients.

Dr. Orme lives in Park City with her husband Zach and their “rez dog” Chaco. She enjoys spending time with her family, running, skiing, cooking, and summer nights at outdoor concerts.

Maddy was born and raised in Utah, where her love for animals and passion for cat rescue led her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. She joined the VetMed Mobile team after gaining experience in several small animal practices in Washington State and Utah. She is committed to deepening her ability to offer compassionate, exceptional care to pets and their owners.

Maddy prides herself on being a crazy cat lady and has two of her own; a foster “fail” named Casper and a "werewolf cat" named Norma. When not spoiling her kitties, she can be found watching scary movies, writing poetry, or spending time with friends and family.

Drea admits she has come a long way from her early beginnings of chasing animals as a toddler to working in Veterinary Services as an Army Reservist. As a receptionist in a busy private practice in Colorado to her position with VetMed Consultants Mobile Services, Drea has utilized every experience as an opportunity to grow and improve on her set of skills.

Drea spends her free time with her husband and three young children, exploring the world and seeking out new places and adventures.

Jennifer’s love of animals led her to animal care as the focus of her career. She attended Utah Career College, receiving an associate degree in Veterinary Technology in 2007. After passing the Veterinary Technician National Exam, Jennifer became a Licensed Vet Tech. She continues to pursue opportunities in small animal practices and is excited to expand her knowledge and skills with VetMed.

She currently has 3 dogs, 4 cats, a box turtle and a husband. She volunteers with the Utah Animal Advocacy Foundation, fostering animals, maintaining their website and helping with events.

Our newest team member, Macayla, brings a lot of energy and enthusiasm to the VetMed team. Originally from Germanton, North Carolina, Macayla followed her older siblings west to settle in the Salt Lake area. As a CNA in North Carolina, Macayla was able to show compassion with her human patients. Her move to Utah allowed her to switch focus to her other passion, helping animals in need of care. Her strong work ethic and willingness to grow her skills at every opportunity has made her a great asset to VetMed.

When not building on her career as a technician, Macayla enjoys skiing and chilling with her family. This includes her three four-legged family members, two kitties and a loving chihuahua mix named Cooper.

Amy discovered that her life's passion could become a career in 2003 while attending Utah Career College. Since graduating, she has served our local veterinary community as a small animal technician. Amy's current endeavor allows her to utilize her knowledge of animal medicine as VetMed Consultants Mobile's client coordinator. She is your go-to contact for client scheduling and medical records acquisition.

Amy spends much of her free time with her reptiles and exotic pets. She also enjoys exploring our beautiful state with her family and dogs. Amy's perfect evening is spent around a fire with friends or enjoying a night out with live music.

Julie has had a love all animals since childhood. She would bring home stray pets and sometimes even talk to her parents into letting her keep them. She began her veterinary technician training at Salt Lake Community College in 2000 and continued on to work in surgical as well as emergency medicine settings. She joined VetMed Consultants in 2007 and is an integral part of exceptional patient care. Julie is committed to patient monitoring and comfort as well as maximizing daily efficiencies in our practice.

Julie enjoys spending her free time with her husband, and two you children who all fortunately love animals as much as she does. They have two sweet dogs to keep them active, two mischievous cats, and a clutter of hens.
